Here’s what you need to know:
When and Where to Expect Restrictions
Traffic restrictions will be in place at the following crossings from 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM on January 17, 18, 20, and 21:
Kartavyapath—Rafi Marg Crossing
Kartavyapath—Janpath Crossing
Kartavyapath—Mansingh Road Crossing
Kartavyapath—C-Hexagon
These restrictions are part of the special arrangements made by the Delhi Traffic Police to ensure uninterrupted movement for parade rehearsals.
Routes to Avoid and Alternatives
To make your journey hassle-free, consider these alternate routes:
North Delhi to South Delhi (and vice versa): Opt for Ring Road, Sarai Kale Khan, IP Flyover, Rajghat, Lajpat Rai Marg, Mathura Road, Bhairon Road, Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Attaturk Marg, or Kautilya Marg.
East Delhi to Southwest Delhi: Use Ring Road and Vande Matram Marg for a smoother commute.
Heading to Vinay Marg, Shanti Path, or New Delhi: Travelers are advised to take Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, roundabout RML, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, or Park Street–Mandir Marg to reach destinations in North Delhi or New Delhi.
Plan Ahead!
Whether you’re commuting to work or heading out for errands, factoring in these diversions can save you time and avoid unnecessary delays. Stay updated and drive safe!
